Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) System Design Engineer to join the Resilience Water team, working from Detroit or other Ohio locations. You will design and deliver I&C and SCADA components, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, and lead project execution from planning through startup.

You will program PLCs, configure HMIs, develop SCADA networks, and prepare detailed specifications while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related field.
• 5+ years of I&C, Automation, and SCADA design in water/wastewater market.
• EIT/Professional Engineer license or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Produce design and construction documents for I&C/SCADA projects.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical and electrical engineers.
• Program PLCs and configure HMIs; develop SCADA networks and data reporting.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
