Job summary

Framatome is seeking an I&C Safety System Software Engineer to develop safety-critical software for digital I&C platforms used in reactor protection and safety features. You will translate regulatory requirements into detailed software specifications and participate in the full lifecycle, including IV&V, configuration management, and licensing documentation.

The role requires expertise in C/C++ and model-based development, with a focus on deterministic real-time embedded systems and safety-class

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience in safety-critical or regulated environments.
• Knowledge of safety class software standards and regulatory expectations.
• Proficiency with C, C++, and model-based design tools.
• Understanding of deterministic real-time software and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety-critical software for digital I&C platforms in reactor protection and safety features.
• Translate requirements into detailed software design and implementation plans.
• Perform software engineering tests and certification activities.
• Support licensing, audits, and regulatory reviews as needed.
