Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to lead I&C design and SCADA master planning for water and wastewater projects in the West region. The role is hybrid in a multi-location environment with client interaction and strong technical leadership.

You will manage multi-discipline teams, oversee scope, schedule and budgets, and drive business development while delivering high-quality engineering solutions for critical infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Requires mix of excellent technical writing and verbal communication, demonstrated management capabilities, I&C design experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical leader and trusted advisor for instrumentation, controls, automation, and SCADA projects for water and wastewater clients in the West region.
• Lead I&C planning, design, and SCADA master planning efforts; support business development pursuits and client relationships.
• Take ownership of project execution and coordination, guiding multi-discipline teams, managing scope, schedule, and budgets, and representing Black & Veatch with clients and partners.
• Provide local interface by attending client and contractor meetings, performing field investigations, and supporting resolution of I&C issues.
• Monitor and control project schedule and budgets; assist with proposals and presentations in response to sales opportunities.
