Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation in California seeks a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to lead I&C design, automation, and SCADA projects for water and wastewater in the West region. This role combines technical leadership with business development responsibilities in a hybrid work setting.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 11+ years of related experience, and active licensure. You will manage multi‑discipline teams, engage with clients, and contribute to proposal

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 11+ years of related work experience.
• Active engineering registration or licensure (EOR) for BV projects.
• Experience leading I&C design, automation, and SCADA projects in water/wastewater.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support growth strategy for BV Water Solution Business in the West region by building client relationships.
• Lead I&C master planning, design, and SCADA master planning efforts and pursue business development.
• Own project execution, manage scope/schedule/budgets, and coordinate multi-discipline teams.
• Attend client/contractor meetings, perform site visits, and resolve I&C issues.
• Assist with proposals, marketing content, and presentations for sales opportunities.
