Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer to lead instrumentation, control and SCADA projects for water and wastewater utilities across Florida. You will manage multi-discipline teams, oversee budgets, and coordinate with clients and remote design staff.

We value leadership, strong communication, and hands-on experience in I&C design and project management. The role offers hybrid work options after an initial 90-day period, with travel across Florida as needed.

Qualifications

• Florida Professional Engineering license or the ability to attain.
• 4 years’ experience in instrumentation, control, and automation design consulting.
• 4 years’ experience in water/wastewater industry.
• 2 years’ experience in project management and business development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated management capabilities; I&C design experience; broad I&C knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Create relationships with clients in Orlando, Miami, Ft. Myers and Tampa; liaise between local design team, client and remote teams.
• Manage and coordinate automation, instrumentation, control and SCADA projects for water/wastewater utilities.
• Lead execution and coordinate I&C design efforts on large multi-discipline projects.
• Attend client and contractor meetings; perform field investigations; support factory acceptance testing and issue resolution.
• Monitor project schedule and budgets; assist with proposals and presentations for sales opportunities.
