Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to lead technical delivery on utility-scale power projects. You will join a multidisciplinary team, specify instrumentation, and design DCS/PLC/SCADA, ensuring reliable operation and safety across campus upgrades and federal energy initiatives.

The role requires 10+ years in design/consulting, PE license (or ability to obtain within a year), and strong communication for client relations and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years in design, consulting, or operations for power projects.
• Experience leading multi-person teams of engineers and designers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specifications and drawings; write control system descriptions; startup and commissioning.
• Specify instrumentation (pressure/flow transmitters, switches, valves) for large power projects.
• Design SCADA/OT networks; develop logic diagrams, graphics, sequences and alarms.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on large design projects and client relations.
• Assist with proposals and business development; mentor junior staff.
