Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer to lead utility-scale power projects, delivering instrumentation and control systems engineering for simple and combined cycle plants. You will specify instrumentation, develop P&IDs, and design SCADA/OT networks while coordinating with multiple engineering teams.
You’ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, mentoring junior staff and supporting business development with clients.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years design, consulting, or operations experience.
- Ability to lead multi-person teams of engineers and designers.
- Experience with instrument specification, PLC/DCS, P&ID, SCADA, and network concepts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare specifications, drawings, and control system descriptions.
- Specify instrumentation (pressure/flow, switches, valves) for large projects.
- Design SCADA/OT networks including DCS/PLC/servers, switches, and firewalls.
- Collaborate with other disciplines on large design projects.
- Engage with clients and contribute to proposals and business development.
