Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer to lead instrumentation and control efforts for utility-scale power projects, campus upgrades, and federal energy initiatives. You will work with cross-functional teams to specify instruments, develop control system architectures, and deliver safe, reliable automation solutions.

The role requires 10+ years in design or consulting, PE license eligibility, and experience with Allen-Bradley, Emerson Ovation, Siemens T3000 or GE Mark VIe.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of design, consulting, or operations experience in instrumentation & controls.
• Ability to lead multi-person teams of engineers and designers to deliver projects.
• Experience with instrument specification, PLC/DCS control systems, P&ID development, SCADA networks.
• Experience with industrial DCS/PLC logic development, graphics, and hardware implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead project teams to deliver utility-scale power projects (simple/combined cycle).
• Prepare specifications, drawings, control system descriptions and startup activities.
• Specify instrumentation such as transmitters, switches, valves for large projects.
• Design SCADA/OT networks, DCS/PLC servers, switches, firewalls, and communication.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and contribute to client relationships.
