Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our Energy & Power Solutions team for utility-scale projects, campus upgrades, and federal energy initiatives. You will lead design, specify instrumentation, and develop control system architectures for DCS/PLC/SCADA systems.

The role requires a bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering, 10+ years of design or consulting experience, and the ability to manage multi-person teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering.
• 10+ years in design, consulting, or operations.
• Ability to lead multi-person teams of engineers and designers.
• PE license or ability to obtain within one year.
• Experience with industrial DCS/PLC logic development and graphics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specifications and drawings, write control system descriptions, startup and commissioning activities.
• Specify instrumentation such as pressure and flow transmitters, switches, and control valves.
• Design DCS/PLC/SCADA networks and associated hardware.
• Collaborate with other disciplines on large, complex design projects.
• Lead proposals and contribute to client relationships and business development.
