Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer to lead and execute control system design for utility-scale power projects, including DCS/PLC/SCADA integration and instrumentation specification. The role requires strong leadership, cross-discipline collaboration, and a safety-first approach.

Responsibilities include startup, commissioning, and optimizing control systems, with opportunities to work on campus upgrades and federal energy initiatives. Hybrid work policy supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specifications and drawings, write control system descriptions, perform startup and commissioning activities.
• Specify instrumentation such as pressure and flow transmitters, switches, and control valves for large power projects.
• Design SCADA and OT networks including DCS, PLCs, servers/workstation, network switches and firewalls.
• Collaborate with other engineering disciplines on large, complex design projects to incorporate equipment, process, and facility control concepts.
• Drive health & safety in all aspects of project execution.
