Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Chemical, or Systems Engineering.
• 5+ years of instrumentation or I&C engineering experience in process industries.
• Hands-on experience specifying and sizing field instruments and control valves.
• Experience developing instrumentation deliverables including loop diagrams and I/O lists.
• Hazardous area classification knowledge (NEC IEC 60079) and intrinsic safety principles.
• Ability to read P&IDs, electrical schematics, and instrument data sheets.

Responsibilities

• Specify, design, install, commission, and maintain instrumentation and control hardware.
• Size and specify final control elements and perform valve sizing and verification.
• Design control panels and remote I/O architecture with power distribution considerations.
• Perform hazardous area classification and intrinsic safety loop work per standards.
• Develop and maintain instrument documentation including loop diagrams, I/O lists, and P&ID markups.
• Support SIL verification and tuning of regulatory control loops.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, and piping engineers on installations.
• Provide technical direction to contractors and review vendor packages for compliance.
