Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced I&C Engineer to lead and support control system projects for nuclear plants. The role focuses on technical execution, project management, and cross-discipline coordination with mechanical, electrical, and structural teams.

Responsibilities include design development, vendor interactions, and client liaison to ensure successful project delivery. Strong communication and nuclear I&C experience are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering from an ABET-accredited program (required).
• 10+ years in I&C design engineering; at least 5 years at a nuclear facility.
• PE license preferred.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Technical knowledge of equipment and pre-engineered systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop Digital Systems Design—PLC, DCS, HSI, networked computer systems.
• Prepare control system functional & procurement specs for nuclear plant control systems.
• Interface with client to ensure proper project execution and satisfaction.
• Prepare/review technical reports, calculations, and studies for client needs.
• Manage resources and develop task/budget estimates.
• Support proposal development.
• Prepare/review diagrams/drawings for new/upgraded controls solutions.
• Evaluate vendor bids technically.
• Interface with vendors to review documents, ensure equipment compliance, witness FAT.
• Support project implementation at client facilities.
