Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced I&C Engineer to lead and support nuclear power plant controls projects, focusing on technical execution and effective project management. You will coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines to deliver complete control system upgrades.

Qualifications include ABET‑accredited engineering degrees, 10+ years in I&C design with nuclear experience, and strong communication skills. PE preferred.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 10+ years in I&C Design Engineering; at least 5 years at a nuclear facility.
• PE license is preferred.
• Ability to clearly communicate in speech and writing.
• Knowledge of equipment and pre-engineered systems for I&C design.
• Experience liaising with clients and reviewing design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop Digital Systems Design – PLC, DCS, HSI, networked computer systems.
• Prepare control system requirements and procurement specifications for nuclear plants.
• Interface with the client to ensure project execution and satisfaction.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and studies.
• Manage resources, loading, estimates for tasks and budgets.
• Support development of proposals.
• Prepare and review diagrams and drawings for controls solutions.
• Evaluate vendor bids from a technical perspective.
• Interface with vendors, review documents, and witness FAT for client.
• Support project implementation at client facilities.
