Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is expanding its Instrumentation and Controls Engineering group in the nuclear power sector. This role focuses on leading and supporting control system design projects, coordinating with multiple disciplines to deliver robust solutions for plant modernization and new builds.

You will develop digital control systems, manage resources and budgets, and communicate clearly with clients to meet project goals. A PE license is preferred and significant I&C experience is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in I&C Design Engineering.
• Professional Engineering license preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Experience serving as the client liaison in lead or support roles.
• Experience reviewing design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop digital systems design – PLC, DCS, touchscreens, networks and control systems.
• Prepare control system requirements and procurement specifications.
• Interface with the client to ensure proper project execution and satisfaction.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and studies.
• Manage resources, loading, estimates, and budget development.
• Support the development of proposals and project documentation.
• Prepare and review diagrams and drawings for controls solutions.
• Evaluate vendor bids from a technical perspective.
• Interface with vendors and witness FAT execution for the client.
• Support project implementation at client facilities.
