Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to advance design work for nuclear power projects. You will lead I&C design efforts, review drawings, and mentor junior engineers while engaging with clients at sites and during outage periods.

The role emphasizes applying modern tools, automation, and AI-enabled workflows to improve efficiency and safety in power plant projects.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum 5 years of design engineering for process controls; nuclear experience preferred.
• Experience with controls system design for MV/LV distribution and plant equipment.
• Experience with I&C for BWR or PWR reactors including DCS, turbine, feedwater, and data displays.
• Ability to review design drawings prepared by others.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor others in applying modern tools to engineering problems.
• Develop and review instrument and control system designs for nuclear plants.
• Attend client meetings and perform site walkdowns.
• Support outage activities as required.
• Provide guidance on automation and AI-enabled workflows.
