Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an experienced I&C Engineer to lead and support electrical control system design for nuclear power projects. You will coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and structural teams and drive technical execution with strong project management skills.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement with three days in the office and two days remote. Candidates should have ABET-accredited degrees and substantial I&C design experience in nuclear settings, with PE license preferred.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 10+ years of experience in I&C Design Engineering; at least 5 years at a nuclear facility.
• PE license is preferred.
• Strong written and spoken communication.
• Knowledge of equipment and pre-engineered systems for design.

Responsibilities

• Develop Digital Systems Design — PLC, DCS, HSI, and networked computer systems.
• Prepare control system functional and implementation requirements and procurement specs.
• Interface with the client to ensure proper project execution and satisfaction.
• Prepare and review technical reports, calculations, and studies for client requirements.
• Manage resources and develop estimates for task completion and budget.
• Support development of proposals.
• Prepare and review diagrams for new/upgraded controls solutions.
• Evaluate vendor bids technically.
• Interface with vendors for document reviews and FAT witness.
• Support project implementation at client facilities.
