Job summary

Kiewit Engineering Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior or Lead Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to drive execution across North America in EPC environments. You will shape automation strategies for data centers, water treatment, mineral processing, and manufacturing.

This role emphasizes leadership, code compliance, and field integration. You’ll work across design phases from feasibility to turnover, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams while traveling up to 20%

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Physics, or related engineering discipline.
• 7+ years in industrial I&C design using U.S. codes and standards with experience leading I&C design projects/teams.
• Development of I&C deliverables such as instrument lists, I/O lists, data sheets, loop drawings, control narratives, etc.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering studies, feasibility analyses, and cost evaluations to guide client decisions.
• Lead project discipline team, ensuring technical excellence and on-schedule delivery.
• Apply codes (ISA, NFPA, NEC, API, ASME) to produce compliant, constructible designs.
