Job summary

Brooksource is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Design Engineer SME for a 36-month W2 contract at the Catawba Nuclear Station, York, SC. The role requires 15+ years in I&C engineering, with deep expertise in digital control systems, DCS platforms, data acquisition, and nuclear cybersecurity practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 15+ years of Instrumentation & Controls engineering experience.
• Experience with nuclear plant processes, cybersecurity requirements, and regulatory considerations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and implement I&C engineering design changes and plant modifications.
• Evaluate and support digital control system upgrades and modifications.
• Design and review DCS, data acquisition, operator aid, plant networks, and security computer systems.
• Apply nuclear industry cybersecurity requirements and standards to designs.
• Produce and review engineering documentation (Base Documents, BOMs, diagrams).
• Independently manage assigned projects with minimal supervision.
