Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks an experienced Technical Hardware Lead to guide a multidisciplinary team for a hypersonic vehicle program. You will oversee mechanical, structural, aerothermal, materials, electrical, and RF disciplines, ensuring schedule, cost, and technical targets are met.

The role requires a strong leader with excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, plus a proactive, detail-oriented approach in a fast-paced R&D environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizen and Active Secret clearance with recent investigation within 6 years.
• Experience with Electrical Engineering Teams and Aerothermal/Aerodynamic teams.
• Experience controlling schedules, costs, and technical requirements with PMs.
• Knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and DFMA.
• Experience designing air vehicle structures and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Technical Hardware team for a hypersonic vehicle.
• Collaborate with PM to execute the schedule, cost, and technical requirements.
• Identify, distribute, and status tasks; support PM in scheduling and tasking.
• Identify resource constraints and coordinate with Office Chief Engineer to ensure performance.
