Job summary

Northrop Grumman Corp. in Utah seeks a senior mechanical engineer to lead a multidisciplinary team in the design of a hypersonic vehicle.

You will plan, execute, and document architecture development and systems engineering activities to balance performance, cost, schedule, and risk. The ideal candidate has a BS in mechanical engineering, 12+ years of experience, active Secret clearance, and hands-on experience with GD&T, large CAD models, and MBSE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience.
• Active Secret clearance with investigation date in last 6 years.
• Experience creating and releasing mechanical PDPs.
• Proficiency with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidisciplinary team in the design of a hypersonic vehicle.
• Plan, execute, and document structured studies and architecture development.
• Develop, review, and validate mechanical designs and TDPs.
• Evaluate mechanical systems and ensure manufacturability.
