Job summary

GE Aerospace seeks a hands-on Senior Program Manager in Bohemia, NY to lead a high-tech propulsion program. You will helm a team including a project engineer and engineering specialists, owning cost, schedule, and budget commitments while serving as the program's primary liaison to the customer.

In this role you will drive program performance, coordinate with Engineering, Operations, and Contracts, and ensure quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent; DoD/military/aerospace program experience desirable.
• 10 years of engineering and program management experience with DoD, military services, and aerospace contractors on jet engine or propulsion programs.
• Competence with program management software and Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of labor accounting, overhead management, and government contract rules for performance and compliance.
• Ability to develop and negotiate work plans with the customer and internal teams; analyze technical, financial, and business information.

Responsibilities

• Lead the program team to meet specifications, milestones, and cost, schedule, and margin targets.
• Serve as the primary company and program representative to the customer; identify growth opportunities with business development.
• Develop SOW, WBS, IMS, and cost/schedule requirements for new projects.
