Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Propulsion Performance Engineer to support the development and testing of flowpaths for hypersonic air-breathing propulsion systems. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to design, analyze, test, and mature propulsion technologies for flight-ready hardware.

This early-career role requires solid engineering fundamentals, experience in design, analysis or testing of propulsion systems, and onsite work in Bohemia, NY or Rockledge, FL. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering or a related field.
• 0–3 years experience in the design, analysis, and testing of propulsion systems.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and multidisciplinary teamwork.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
• Willingness to work onsite in Bohemia, NY or Rockledge, FL.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to design, analyze, and test propulsion flowpaths.
• Lead computational analyses to guide design improvements.
• Document assumptions and analysis methods for technical reviews.
• Prepare presentations and briefing materials on status and decisions.
• Work with IPTs to meet performance, cost, and schedule goals.
• Interact with industry partners and subcontractors.
• Demonstrate understanding of business drivers and program goals.
• Exercise sound technical judgment and seek guidance when needed.
