Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Structural and Thermal Analysis Engineer to lead thermal-structural FEA for hypersonic propulsion hardware. Based in Rockledge, FL with a posting in Bohemia, NY, you will guide design from concept to manufacturing and testing, mentoring teammates along the way.

You will build ANSYS models, drive design decisions, and present results to cross-functional teams while maintaining program cost and schedule goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 10+ years of thermal/structural analysis experience with FEA, especially ANSYS.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% and obtain DoD clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead thermal-structural analysis of prototype components and subsystems for hypersonic propulsion systems.
• Build and run ANSYS/FEA models with appropriate boundary conditions.
• Lead design reviews, communicate results to multidisciplinary teams, and mentor staff.
