Job summary

GE Aerospace is seeking a Senior Structural and Thermal Analysis Engineer to lead thermal-structural FEA for hypersonic propulsion hardware. Based in Rockledge, FL with Bohemia, NY posting, you will lead modeling, design reviews, and cross-functional collaboration on rapid development programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 10+ years of thermal/structural analysis experience with expertise in FEA, particularly ANSYS.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance and U.S. citizenship is required.
• Travel up to 10% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead thermal-structural analysis of prototype components and subsystems for hypersonic propulsion.
• Build and run ANSYS/FEA models with appropriate boundary conditions and constraints.
• Assess integrity and performance to guide design decisions.
• Perform lifetime/cycle, reliability, and elastic-plastic analyses as needed.
• Develop thermal-structural systems from concept to manufacturable components.
• Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams to deliver recommendations.
• Document assumptions, inputs, and results for multidisciplinary reviews.
• Lead design reviews and prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Mentor team members in thermal-structural analysis methods.
