Job summary

GE Aerospace in Bohemia, NY or Rockledge, FL is seeking a Propulsion Performance Engineer to support development and testing of flowpaths for hypersonic air-breathing propulsion systems. Join a multidisciplinary engineering team to design, analyze, test, and mature propulsion technologies for flight-ready hardware.

Early-career engineers with strong fundamentals will contribute to computational analysis, hardware validation, and cross-functional problem solving in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a high school diploma with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• 0-3 years in design, analysis, and testing of reaction propulsion systems.
• Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them to technical work.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• U.S. citizenship required; ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
• Willingness to work onsite in Bohemia, NY or Rockledge, FL.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and test flowpaths for high-speed air-breathing engines.
• Lead computational analyses to guide design improvements using CFD/FEA and tools.
• Document assumptions, inputs, and methods for technical reviews.
• Support validation of new designs through test activities.
• Prepare presentations and briefings for project status and recommendations.
• Collaborate with IPTs to meet technical performance, cost, and schedule goals.
• Interact with industry partners and subcontractors on analyses and design.
• Demonstrate sound technical judgment and escalate when needed.
