Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college.
• 10+ years of thermal/structural analysis experience with FEA (ANSYS).
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and how to apply them to technical tasks.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and ability to obtain DoD clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead thermal-structural analysis of prototype components and subsystems for rapid hypersonic propulsion development.
• Build and run ANSYS/FEA models with boundary conditions and constraints.
• Assess integrity and thermal-structural performance to guide design decisions.
• Perform lifetime/cycle and elastic-plastic analyses as needed.
• Lead design reviews and prepare technical reports for teams and customers.
• Mentor team members in thermal-structural analysis methods.
