Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation seeks an experienced mechanical/systems engineer to lead hydropower projects from conception to completion. You will perform complex analyses, prepare deliverables, and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, while managing budgets and schedules.

The role requires 5+ years in related work with a bachelor’s in engineering; 10+ years in mechanical or systems engineering is preferred. Hybrid work options may be available after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and minimum 5 years of related work experience.
• 10+ years of mechanical or systems engineering experience preferred.
• Experience managing projects and programs in power generation or utilities recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and management of hydroelectric projects from concept through completion.
• Perform complex engineering analyses and prepare deliverables for multiple projects.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams and manage budgets and schedules.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide discipline work.
• Support business development and client communications.
