Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks an experienced Mechanical/Systems Engineer to advance hydroelectric projects from concept to commissioning. You will design, analyze, and guide multidisciplinary teams while ensuring quality, budget, and schedule goals are met.

Preferred candidates have 10+ years in power facilities and strong client-facing and project management skills, with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Relocation is eligible; a hybrid work model may be offered.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of mechanical or systems engineering experience in power generating facilities or related fields.
• Experience managing projects and/or programs in a utility power plant setting.
• Design and operation support of hydroelectric generation stations; client-facing experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complex engineering deliverables for large projects and perform analyses.
• Coordinate multi-discipline activity and ensure quality, schedule, and budget alignment.
• Provide guidance on design guides, standards, and engineering practices; mentor junior staff.
• Support business development pursuits and client interests throughout projects.
