Job summary

ACS Professional Staffing seeks a Senior Hydropower Engineer to lead and expand hydropower projects across the Southeast. The role combines technical leadership, project management, and client development, with a focus on dams, spillways, gates, penstocks, and powerhouse systems.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years of hydropower design and project management experience, a PE license, and a track record of mentoring staff and building client relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15+ years of hydropower engineering experience.
• PE license is required.
• Experience with dams, spillways, gates, penstocks, and powerhouse systems.
• Strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage client relationships.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and permitting processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydropower projects across the Southeast and broader U.S. regions.
• Oversee engineering design and analysis for hydropower facilities, including dams, spillways, gates, penstocks, and powerhouse systems.
• Coordinate across structural, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and geotechnical disciplines.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and drive business development and regional growth.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff.
• Support project execution from planning through construction.
• Collaborate with internal teams on renewable energy, water resources, and environmental projects.
