Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Geotechnical Engineering (or related engineering degree).
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with MS Office, MS Project (Access a plus).
• Experience working in a multi‑discipline environment.
• Strong communication skills in writing and speaking.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections of dams and hydraulic structures and participate in risk assessments as required for regulatory purposes.
• Conduct analyses, evaluations and designs for hydropower and dam safety projects.
• Lead design of hydraulic structures including dams, spillways, gates, outlets and foundations.
• Apply critical thinking and creativity to address engineering challenges.
• Prepare contract documents with drawings, specifications and cost estimates.
• Work with multi‑disciplinary teams on hydropower and dam safety projects.
• Travel as required and provide mentorship and QA/QC oversight.
