Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Project Engineer for its Hydropower and Water Resources team. This remote role supports projects across the United States, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering activities from planning through construction.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience, a PE or eligibility, and a strong background in hydropower, dams, and water infrastructure. This position offers growth into technical leadership with a focus on design management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical, Structural, Geotechnical, or related engineering for hydropower development.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the US or Canada, or eligible for registration.
• Approximately 7+ years of progressive engineering experience.
• Experience with hydropower, dams, water resources or similar infrastructure.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary deliverables and reviews.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering activities for hydropower and water resources projects from planning through construction.
• Develop design basis documents, reports, schedules, and technical documentation.
• Establish priorities, interfaces, review periods, and issue dates with project teams.
• Plan and lead design reviews, constructability reviews, and risk assessments.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulators to align engineering work with project goals.
• Oversee document control, changes, and procurement support.
• Travel periodically to project sites in North America.
