Job summary

The St. Johns River Water Management District invites applications for a hydrologic/hydrogeologic specialist who will perform advanced research, data analysis, and lead project design and construction efforts in northeast and east-central Florida.

Responsibilities include interpreting geophysical data, developing GIS models, managing contracts, and mentoring field staff while ensuring compliance with drilling plans and budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrology, hydrogeology or related field.
• Professional geologist license in Florida preferred; advanced degree may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate geophysical and lithologic log data and produce reports and GIS surfaces.
• Project management for well construction, budgets, and contracts; coordinate with team.
• Process borehole geophysical log data and mentor field staff.

Education

Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrology, hydrogeology or related field

Florida Professional Geologist license (preferred)
