Job summary

Foth is seeking a Lead Hydrogeologist to join our team from multiple locations including Minneapolis, MN, Green Bay, WI, Duluth, MN or Madison, WI with a hybrid schedule.

You will lead hydrogeology projects, coordinate field programs, and mentor staff while delivering technical solutions for groundwater and surface water systems.

Requires a Bachelor’s in Hydrogeology or Engineering and 10+ years of experience; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Hydrogeology, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience conducting hydrogeological investigations, including 5+ years of hands-on field work.
• Experience coordinating field characterization programs (aquifer testing, hydrophysical profiling, groundwater modeling).
• Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary projects, manage budgets/schedules, and provide technical consultation.
• Experience integrating hydrogeologic investigations with feasibility studies and alternatives analyses.
• Experience providing expert witness testimony at environmental hearings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of hydrogeological aspects of projects.
• Coordinate with project managers to estimate costs and advise on technical approaches.
• Develop approaches for regionally mapping groundwater systems.
• Provide leadership on complex, multi-disciplinary projects including budget/schedule management.
• Develop and implement numerical analyses for groundwater and surface water systems in support of permitting and remediation.
• Teach, mentor, and develop other team members in hydrogeology.
