Job summary

Foth is seeking a team-focused Hydrogeologist/Hydrologist to join our environmental services group. Location options include Green Bay, WI; Madison, WI; Minneapolis, MN; or Duluth, MN.

The role focuses on supporting hydrogeology projects, including field investigations, groundwater and surface water modeling, and technical reporting to aid permitting, site remediation, and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with engineers and scientists on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related engineering.
• Professional experience performing hydrogeological and hydrologic investigations, analysis, and modeling, through internships or co-ops.
• Technical writing and report preparation experience.
• Proficiency with groundwater and surface water modeling tools, such as MODFLOW/MT3D, FEFLOW, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, XP-SWMM, or similar numerical codes.

Responsibilities

• Support hydrogeology and surface water hydrology projects in the environmental services industry.
• Conduct field investigations, including aquifer testing, surface water discharge gauging, and geologic logging/mapping.
• Develop and apply numerical groundwater flow and transport models in support of project permitting, industrial development, and site remediation.
• Execute technical investigations for hydrologic characterization of groundwater systems in varied geology.
• Perform quantitative analysis of hydrologic data, including probabilistic analysis and forecasting.
• Develop technical investigation plans for hydrologic characterization in diverse rock environments.
• Develop technical reports and memos to support permitting of natural resource projects.
• Be part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists.
• Provide construction support and administration.
