The Foth Companies in the Midwest is seeking a Lead Hydrogeologist to join a team-focused, innovative practice. You will lead hydrogeological projects, mentor staff, and collaborate with project managers across multiple locations (Green Bay, Minneapolis, Duluth, Madison) with a hybrid schedule.

We value deep field experience, numerical analysis, and strong leadership. The role involves budgeting, schedules, regulatory commitments, and client collaboration to deliver technically sound solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Hydrogeology, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of hydrogeology experience, with at least 5 years of field work.
• Experience coordinating field characterization programs and groundwater modeling.
• Experience leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects with budgets and schedules.
• Experience as expert witness at environmental hearings.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical execution of hydrogeological aspects of projects.
• Estimate costs with project managers and advise on technical approach.
• Develop approaches for regional hydrologic characterization.
• Provide leadership on multi-disciplinary projects, managing budgets/schedules.
• Develop numerical analysis approaches for groundwater and surface water systems.
• Teach, mentor, and develop team members in hydrogeology.
