Job summary

The ideal candidate has a PE license, extensive hydraulic experience, and a proven ability to win work and mentor staff, with travel up to 25% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering
• Master’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering
• 20 years of experience in hydraulic engineering
• 10 years of project management experience preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• FERC regulations experience preferred
• Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication, ability to lead multidisciplinary teams
• Willingness to travel up to 25% monthly

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions, meetings, and workshops for project teams and clients
• Ensure work elements meet quality standards and project requirements
• Initiate and lead marketing and business development pursuits
• Identify and pursue opportunities with new and existing clients
• Prepare and oversee project deliverables across multiple components
• Lead QA/QC reviews per client requirements and company policies
• Manage project and organizational risks
• Contribute to strategic initiatives
• Direct workloads and mentor staff to develop leaders

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering

Master’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) license

Experience with stakeholder engagement, persuasion and negotiation

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills

Ability to travel up to 25% monthly
