Job summary

McMillen, Inc. invites a Senior Applied Hydraulics Engineer to join our team, leading hydraulics for large water resources projects including dams, energy, fisheries, and infrastructure. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, oversee deliverables, and engage stakeholders to drive project success.

The role requires 20 years in hydraulic engineering, PE licensure, and strong leadership capabilities, with travel up to 25% monthly. We offer employee ownership and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering required.
• Master’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Experience with FERC regulations preferred.
• Demonstrated skills in stakeholder engagement, persuasion and negotiation of critical issues.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing project teams.
• Ability to travel up to 25% monthly.

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions, meetings, and workshops for project teams and clients.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and requirements.
• Initiate and lead marketing and business development pursuits.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to support business growth.
• Prepare and oversee reports, drawings, and specifications across project components.
• Lead QA/QC reviews in line with client requirements and policies.
• Manage risks associated with deliverables and work products.
• Participate in development and execution of strategic initiatives.
• Direct and delegate workloads while mentoring staff.
