Job summary

McMillen, Inc. seeks a Senior Applied Hydraulics Engineer to lead hydraulic engineering on large water resources projects. This role requires recognized leadership in dams, energy, and infrastructure with strong technical depth.

The successful candidate will direct multidisciplinary teams, drive business development, and oversee complex deliverables while maintaining high quality and safety standards. Travel up to 25% is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering is required.
• Master’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering is required.
• 20 years of experience in hydraulic engineering.
• PE license required; FERC regulations experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead project discussions, meetings, and workshops for teams and clients.
• Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements.
• Initiate and lead marketing and business development pursuits.
• Identify opportunities with new and existing clients for growth.
• Prepare and oversee deliverables across multiple project components.
• Lead QA/QC reviews per client requirements and company policies.
• Manage project risks and organizational risks.
