Job summary

McMillen, Inc. in Los Angeles seeks a Senior Applied Hydraulics Engineer to lead hydraulic engineering for large water resources projects, including dams, energy, fisheries, infrastructure, and natural resources.

You will guide project teams, develop technical strategies, and ensure high-quality deliverables across feasibility, design, and commissioning phases. Required are a PE license, MS/BS in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering, and at least 20 years in hydraulic engineering with strong

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering is required.
Master’s degree in Civil or Hydraulic Engineering is required.
PE license is required.
Experience with FERC regulations is preferred.
Demonstrated skills in stakeholder engagement, persuasion and negotiation of critical issues.

Responsibilities

Lead discussions, meetings, and workshops for project teams and clients.
Ensure multiple work elements produced by support staff meet quality standards and project requirements.
Initiate and lead marketing and business development pursuits.
Identify and pursue opportunities with new and existing clients to support business growth.
Prepare and oversee project deliverables, including reports, letters, drawings, and specifications.
