Zusammenfassung

CDM Smith is seeking a Hydraulic Structures Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. You will analyze and design hydraulic structures for flood control and water resource projects, lead project teams, and prepare proposals, budgets, and schedules.

The role requires a PE license, a civil/structural engineering degree, and 10 years of experience. Travel up to 40% may be needed; partial remote work is available. You will mentor junior staff and contribute to business development.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Aufgaben

• Analyze and design hydraulic structures for flood control, hydroelectric and water resources projects.
• Lead project teams of structural engineers and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Prepare project proposals including scopes of work, budgets and schedules.
• Forecast workload and schedules.
• Prepare contract documents including drawings, specifications, design criteria, cost estimates and bid documents.
• Perform engineering services during construction including review of shop drawings and responses to questions.
• Conduct inspections and structural assessments and prepare reports.
• Present technical results to project teams and clients.
