CDM Smith is seeking a Hydraulic Structures Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. You will analyze and design hydraulic structures for flood control, hydropower, and water resource projects, lead project teams, prepare proposals, and manage schedules and budgets.

You will mentor junior staff, review deliverables for code compliance, and present technical results to clients and boards. Domestic travel 20-40% is expected; partial remote work available.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural or Structural Engineering.
• PE license required.
• 10 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and design hydraulic structures for flood control, hydroelectric, and other water resource projects.
• Lead project teams of structural engineers and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Prepare project proposals including scopes, budgets, and schedules.
• Forecast workload and schedules.
• Prepare contract documents with drawings, specs, and criteria.
• Provide construction phase services including shop drawings review and contractor questions.
• Conduct inspections and prepare reports on existing structures.
• Present technical findings to project team, clients, and review boards.
• Conduct risk analyses and identify potential failure modes and mitigation strategies.
• Mentor junior staff and monitor budgets and schedules.
