Job summary

Ausenco is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Pipeline Engineer for roles in Denver or Tucson, with projects across North America and beyond. You will lead hydraulic pipeline design, perform steady state and transient calculations for mineral slurries and mine water, and guide junior engineers while delivering clear technical reports and budgets.

You bring a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering and 8–12 years of consulting experience, strong Excel skills, and a proven track record in client-facing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Civil, Mining, or similar Engineering field.
• 8–12 years of experience in engineering consulting, EPC/EPCM, or similar.
• Expertise with hydraulic pipeline calculations, design, and operation.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with systems thinking.
• Experience in client-facing roles and mentorship

Responsibilities

• Define solutions and guide others in hydraulic pipeline design.
• Perform steady state and transient hydraulic calculations for slurries and mine water.
• Identify options, perform cost analysis, and justify engineering solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and review complex technical reports.
• Prepare scope of work and budgets; act as study manager when needed.
