Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Occupancy Senior Planner in Santa Monica to provide space planning, data mining, reporting, and interpretation of occupancy metrics for large clients. This hybrid role requires four days on-site weekly and close collaboration with the real estate team and stakeholders.

You will develop conceptual plans, move lists, and presentations, while validating space needs across locations and ensuring data accuracy in the system of record. A degree with CRE/LEED certs is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred with 2–5 years of relevant experience; combination of experience and education considered in lieu of degree.
• Certification in Corporate Real Estate, LEED or Facilities Management required.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Advanced math skills for calculating percentages, fractions, and related figures.

Responsibilities

• Review space requirements and provide conceptual plans and recommendations to the real estate team and stakeholders.
• Create block or stack plans, charters, and move lists.
• Produce complex drawings and presentations for internal and client-facing meetings; involve project management for moves and construction services.
• Collaborate to gain business intelligence, including move sequencing and execution.
• Validate occupancy metrics and ensure location availability reflected in systems of record.
• Prepare forecasts and evaluate space planning trends in general business conditions.
• Discuss project requirements with clients and address functional, operational, and cultural issues.
