Job summary

CBRE is seeking an Occupancy Planner in California to provide space planning, data analysis, reporting, and interpretation of occupancy metrics for client spaces. The role sits within Moves, Additions and Changes, handling space design, construction, and moves.

You will review space requirements, create plans, reports, and diagrams for stakeholders, while collaborating with teams to manage move sequencing and client approvals. A degree with up to 3 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to use existing procedures to solve standard problems.
• Experience with analyzing information and standard practices to make judgments.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset.
• Intermediate math skills—ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial calculations.

Responsibilities

• Review space requirements and provide conceptual plans and recommendations to the real estate team or stakeholders.
• Assist with creating block or stack plans and move lists.
• Produce drawings and presentations for internal stakeholders and client meetings for review and feedback.
• Collaborate with team members to gain business intelligence including move sequencing and execution.
• Attend client meetings, draft meeting minutes, and obtain approvals to proceed when required.
• May attend space walks for validation and update of occupancy metrics.
• Enter and maintain occupancy data within the system of record.
• Prepare forecasts and evaluate space planning trends in general business conditions.
• Gather project requirements and coordinate functional, operational, and cultural issues with clients.
• Coordinate with Architectural Vendors and Project Management regarding codes and permits for moves or reconfigurations.
