Job summary

SarelaTech is seeking a Hybrid Multi-Cloud Engineer SME to support DoD cloud modernization initiatives in Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, NM. You will architect, engineer, and sustain secure hybrid cloud solutions across Azure and AWS, leading green-field deployments in a fast-paced environment.

Role requires strategic cloud architecture and hands-on implementation, collaboration with cybersecurity and systems teams, and mentoring junior cloud engineers.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification required.
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience architecting Azure cloud solutions.
• Experience designing hybrid clouds with on-prem and Azure.
• Hands-on deployment of Azure compute, networking, storage, security, identity, and management services.
• Experience with Entra ID and ICAM concepts.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, engineer, and deploy secure hybrid cloud solutions on Azure and AWS.
• Design enterprise cloud architectures for mission-critical DoD systems.
• Lead technical implementation from concept to production deployment.
• Develop green-field cloud environments with security, scalability, resilience, and automation.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, Azure Bicep, ARM, CloudFormation.
• Engineer cloud networking integrating on-prem with Azure and AWS.
• Deploy cloud security, monitoring, backup, DR, and ops tooling.
• Automate using PowerShell, Azure CLI, AWS CLI, Python.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity to meet DoD security requirements and accreditation.
• Contribute to cloud roadmaps and strategic blueprints for enterprise adoption.
• Evaluate new cloud tech and propose innovative solutions.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to cloud engineers.
