Job summary

SarelaTech is seeking a Hybrid Multi-Cloud Engineer SME to support DoD cloud modernization initiatives in Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, NM. This role spans architecture, engineering, and sustainment of secure hybrid cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and AWS, in a fast-paced, green-field environment.

Senior contributor will design and deliver enterprise cloud capabilities aligned with DoD strategies and Zero Trust.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Minimum of five years architecting and implementing Azure cloud solutions.
• Experience designing hybrid cloud environments with on‑premises integration.
• Experience with Entra ID/ICAM and cloud security controls.
• Knowledge of NIST, SIEM/SOAR, and Zero Trust concepts.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to document architectures.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, engineer, and deploy secure hybrid cloud solutions on Azure and AWS.
• Design enterprise cloud architectures for DoD systems and apps.
• Lead implementation of cloud modernization from concept to production.
• Build green-field cloud environments with security, scalability, and resilience.
• Implement IaC using Terraform, Azure Bicep/ARM, CloudFormation, or equivalents.
• Engineer cloud networking integrating on‑prem with Azure/AWS.
• Deploy security, monitoring, backup, DR, and operational tools.
• Automate with PowerShell, Azure CLI, AWS CLI, Python or similar.
• Ensure DoD security compliance and accreditation alignment.
• Support cloud roadmaps and strategic planning for enterprise adoption.
• Evaluate emerging cloud tech and provide innovative solutions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to cloud engineers.
