Job summary

Varsity Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Client Engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area to handle escalated IT issues across remote and onsite client environments. You will travel to client sites to deploy technology, resolve complex issues, and build relationships, balancing executive and end-user communication.

The role requires strong people skills, independent judgment, and deep M365 knowledge, with travel across the Bay Area as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT support in a managed services environment.
• Based in the Bay Area with reliable transportation for client site visits.
• Hands-on M365 administration: Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID/AAD, policy and tenant configuration.
• Advanced macOS support: security, system settings, deployment, MDM, Apple Business Manager, iOS integration.
• Experience troubleshooting networking: DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall concepts.
• Familiarity with generative AI platforms such as Copilot, Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude.

Responsibilities

• Receive and resolve escalations from Specialist I, owning intake to root-cause resolution and client communication.
• Assess whether issues can be resolved remotely or onsite, and communicate scope and timeline clearly.
• Travel to Bay Area client sites to deploy tech, resolve issues, and strengthen in-person relationships.
• Calibrate communication to audience level, from executives to end users.
• Diagnose infrastructure issues including M365 tenant configuration, networking, and endpoint management at scale.
