Job summary

Leidos seeks a Hybrid Multi-Cloud Engineer SME to support DoD cloud modernization initiatives in Fort Belvoir, VA or Albuquerque, NM. You will design, engineer, implement, and sustain secure Microsoft Azure cloud solutions within classified environments.

The role requires deep Azure expertise, hybrid cloud, and enterprise identity management, with hands-on lifecycle involvement and TS/SCI clearance. You will work with DoD security controls and RMF/ STIG guidance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline with 12-15 years of experience, or a Master’s with 10-13 years of experience.
Must have Active TS/SCI clearance at time of hire.
Current DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
Minimum of five years of experience designing and implementing Microsoft Azure enterprise cloud solutions.
Experience architecting hybrid Azure environments integrating on‑premises with Azure services.
Advanced experience with Entra ID, Entra Connect, Active Directory, AWS IAM, and E‑ICAM solutions.
Experience with Entra ID Governance capabilities (Access Reviews, Entitlement Management, Lifecycle Workflows, CA, PIM).
Experience with Azure Landing Zones and enterprise governance models.
Strong understanding of Azure networking, storage, compute, governance, and security services.
IaC experience with Terraform, Azure Bicep, or ARM Templates.
Proficiency with Azure CLI, PowerShell, and Python scripting.
Strong understanding of Zero Trust architecture and cloud security best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Architect, design, engineer, and implement secure Microsoft Azure cloud solutions supporting DoD mission requirements.
Design and deploy green-field Azure environments and hybrid cloud architectures.
Design and maintain enterprise hybrid identity solutions using Entra ID/Connect, AD, and related technologies.
Engineer PAM, IAM, and Zero Trust controls including JIT access and RBAC/ABAC.
Design Azure Landing Zones and governance frameworks per CAF and Well-Architected guidance.
Implement IaC using Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates; automate with scripts.
Design secure networking using Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, VPN, Azure Firewall, Private connectivity.
Configure Azure monitoring, backup, DR, governance, security capabilities.
Configure Entra ID Governance: Access Reviews, Entitlement Management, Lifecycle, CA, PIM.
Collaborate across cybersecurity, systems engineering, networking, and app teams to deliver integrated cloud solutions.
Support ATO activities and ensure RMF/ STIG alignment.
Produce architecture docs, diagrams, guides, and SOPs.
Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, and security issues.
Evaluate emerging Microsoft cloud tech to support mission objectives.
