Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking an electrical engineer to research, design and test electrical components, equipment, systems and networks for aerospace and defense applications. This onsite role requires strong circuit design, testing and analysis skills and the ability to obtain a US security clearance.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
• Professional electrical engineering design experience to include electrical design, troubleshooting, analysis, and test (circuit card level through systems level)
• Experience using electrical engineering design and analysis tools such as Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic, Xilinx Vivado, or equivalent
• Experience using test equipment, such as Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, Power Meters, etc.
• Experience using schematic capture tools and interpreting schematics, or performing advanced FPGA firmware development (VHDL, or Verilog).
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Due to the nature of our business, remote work is not possible.

Responsibilities

• Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
• Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes. Produces products according to specifications, using the most cost effective and efficient means.
• Includes circuit theory, computer design and development, instrumentation, radio communications, semiconductor devices, solid state devices, and television systems.
