Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced engineer for the Hardware in the Loop (HWIL) Department in Tucson, AZ. This onsite role designs, builds, and integrates state-of-the-art missile flight simulation environments, collaborating with weapon system designers to meet requirements and deliver on-time software delivery for missile testing.

You will contribute across stages of product development, managing technical scope, costs, and schedules while ensuring compliance with security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
• Professional electrical engineering design experience from circuit card level to full system.
• Experience with Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, Creo Schematic, Xilinx Vivado, or equivalent.
• Advanced experience with test equipment: oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, power meters, etc.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance; U.S. citizenship required; remote work not possible.

Responsibilities

• Member of multidisciplinary engineering teams for design, development, and integration of missile flight simulation systems.
• Develop engineering and production test systems, test interface adapters, cabling, and schematics.
• Contribute to all stages of product development (CCA through systems level) and manage technical, cost, and schedule aspects of projects.
• Identify and resolve issues during development and implementation of test products.
